Bookish Resolutions

Happy new year!! This last year has been crazy and quite possibly the most eventful year of my life. I really hope to have a great year next year, and since reading is a key part of me, I thought I would record my resolutions.

Goodreads Goal
I completed and went way past my goal of 60 books for this year, so I think I will make my goal 75 for the coming year. School is getting harder and more stressful, though, so we’ll see how that goes.

Reading Variation
I have always tried my best to read from a wide variety of genres, but I have found myself often turning to YA. Because I’m so busy all the time, I usually just choose the easiest book I can find. This year, I hope to read at least 75% of the non-YA books on my shelves.

Time Spent Reading
Since I am quite lazy, I often choose Netflix over a book. While I do feel bad about this every time I do it, I never just end up picking up a book. This has put me into the most massive reading slump of all time. This year, I hope to dedicate 45 minutes every day to reading. I want to include a time for reading into my busy schedule so that I don’t feel guilty for not reading or for reading when I should be studying.

Blogging Goals
I have been so bad about blogging recently. I hope to post at least once a week. This may not seem like a lot to many of you, but I find it very challenging. I might decide to start doing one of the popular weekly memes or start my own feature. Not sure yet. I’m open to suggestions.

And those are my resolutions for this year! Let me know what you think! I wish everyone a happy and productive year.
